Many years ago, I discovered Burt’s Bees and their products have become a part of my daily routine. I am addicted to their lip balm - I simply cannot live without it! - and I always have a few tubes of their Lip Shine in Pucker on hand. Their Hand Salve helps renew my skin when I return from long stints of travel and busy days on location, too. The smell is intoxicating!

I love Ireland so much — the rich, lush texture of the landscape combined with the friendly people makes my heart sing. I have been fortunate enough to visit twice while on assignment over the last few years, and on my last trip I was able to stay a few extra days to have a little vacation and also to shoot some lovely dresses with a fab Irish team. It was a dream come true to shoot at the gorgeous Carton House, a historic-mansion-turned-luxury-hotel just outside of Dublin in Kildare

We are always thrilled to work with Traditional Home and this piece in the March issue was no exception. A few months ago, we visited Louise Gaskill at her studio in Raleigh, NC, where she showed us how she repurposes old chandeliers and lights to make new custom lighting pieces. I love how she breathes new life into her designs by salvaging gorgeous details. We could have stayed for a week to watch her work — one day was simply not enough!
Pick up your copy of Traditional Home and enjoy the photos below. You can find more of Louise's work on her website.

our state | january cover
It was a pleasure assisting Stacey with the photoshoot for Our State Magazine’s January cover. It was such a cool experience to meet some of the people that make that magazine happen each month. It always amazes me how much work goes into making a photograph happen.

What a honor to be included in the Our State’s feature on Randolph Community College photography graduates in the January issue. It certainly has been a wild ride since I graduated in 2003. I can hardly believe it has been thirteen years! I have had so many wonderful experiences, worked with so many talented people and have shot everything from 5 star hotels to farms, famous authors and ordinary folks, TV stars and fascinating characters. I truly love my job and am thankful to Our State’s wonderful crew for giving me so many opportunities to see North Carolina through the eyes of it’s people, food and landscape.
We have so many RCC interns over the last decade and this semester we had the pleasure of having Caroline Boone. She photographed me for the opener to this story. To be truthful, it always feels sort of funny to be on the other side of the camera but Carol made it fun.

WHOA! We are super excited that Rob Haggart from A Photo Editor took some interest in our Windswept photo promo!
Stacey’s Windswept Promo was sent out nearly one month ago but it looks like it finally made it to a few people we were waiting to hear from. Rob posted these images of Stacey’s promo on Instagram. What an awesome thing to see, since after all, promos are a lot of time and work! We love it!
Cheers,
Natalie

deep run roots | food truck tour comes to greensboro
Vivian Howard has been on the move with her crew promoting her new cookbook since the beginning of October and finally made her way to us in Greensboro, NC! Here at SVB Photo, Stacey and Caroline (our newest intern) had the opportunity to host a very special lunch for them in celebration of her cookbook “Deep Run Roots“.
The idea of cooking for a renowned chef was quite intimidating to say the least, but after much planning we finally came up with a flavorful Colombian inspired meal. The meal included a variety of dishes from main course to dessert: Peruvian Pollo a la Brasas, Patatas Bravas, a Fresh Avocado salad with a Cilantro Vinaigrette, and Sea Salt Dulce de Leche Custards. We were very excited to host this lunch and so we wanted to capture the moments along with it. Afterwards, Stacey and Caroline were invited to enjoy the evening with some of the cast & crew, continuing to take pictures along the way. It was a perfect evening for the event and we are so fortunate to have been a part of it!
We hope you enjoy the images from our eventful evening!

We are thrilled to be featured on aPhotoEditor today by Suzanne Sease for her Personal Project section! Suzanne Sease is very special to us here at SVB Photo. I remember at the beginning of my photo journey having a consultation with her after an APA meeting. It turned out to be a life changing event for me that I will always be grateful for.
